Huế isn’t loud. Huế is calm, unhurried. And OMA Huế Eatery feels exactly the same — a cozy little spot tucked inside a quiet alley in the heart of Saigon, bringing a gentle, polished take on Huế cuisine. Nothing over the top, but refined enough to make me want to
🪴 The space – Simple and just right
The restaurant sits in a small alley with parking space out front — convenient. Inside, the space splits into outdoor and indoor areas, both designed in a minimalist style: neat, clean, uncluttered. This isn’t the kind of place for flashy Instagram shots, but rather a spot where you can actually sit down, chat, and enjoy your meal at ease.

The vibe feels like taking “a little break from Saigon.” Everything is balanced — not too fancy, not too plain — just easy and comfortable.
🍽️ The food – Modern Huế, but still soulful
Tasting Platter – 160K

A mix of Huế’s signature dishes: bánh bèo, fresh spring rolls, fried rolls, and grilled pork with steamed rice sheets — two pieces of each, paired with four different dipping sauces. Honestly impressed with the thoughtfulness, from the plating to the flavor pairings. Just enough to taste, remember, and crave again.
Stir-fried glass noodles with baby clams – 150K

A must-try if you love Huế food. The clams are fresh, not fishy, light in flavor, maybe a touch mild — but that’s where the salty fish sauce on the side balances it out. Personally, I liked it this way — light, easy, and not heavy on the stomach.
Grilled shrimp paste on sugarcane – 75K

One stick per serving, which makes about four rolls with fresh herbs, bánh hỏi, and rice paper. The shrimp flavor is solid and meaty, though for me, the dish wasn’t particularly memorable. Decent, but not a standout.
Fermented cacao tea by Cacaocha – 79K/bottle

I picked the soursop & butterfly pea flavor — surprised to learn it’s kombucha brewed from cacao. Refreshing, easy to drink, with a unique aftertaste that’s actually addictive. First time trying Cacaocha, and I was impressed. Lots of flavors to choose from — definitely a plus for the restaurant.

One small but fun detail: the Grab & Go drink station. You can help yourself to juices, water, fresh fruit drinks, or kombucha, almost like picking something out of your own fridge at home. It makes the dining experience feel more relaxed and personal.
OMA Huế Eatery is the perfect choice if you’re looking for a calm, unpretentious dining space that still carries the soul of modern Huế cuisine. Carefully prepared dishes, unique drinks, and an overall vibe that leaves you feeling good. It’s not a “wow” kind of place — but it’s definitely one worth coming back to.
